Randall Norris, Baritone
I am out of the big town of Travelers Rest, SC.
I've been married 21 years to my wonderful, Godly wife Sherry. Blessed with three children, Lindsay (Josh), Lauren (Brandon) and Jonathan (Chelsea) and ten grandchildren.
Sherry and I are members at Clearview Baptist Church in Travelers Rest,, SC and are very involved in our church.
I have been in gospel music over 30 years or more. I started out singing tenor with a group called “The Proclaimer’s out of Tanglewood Baptist Church and after many years made I made the move over to sing baritone with Heartsound Quartet.
God has been so good to me and has allowed me to be able to minister in many ways.
I work part time at The Howze Mortuary in Travelers Rest. This is a great ministry.
There are probably a couple of things you don’t know about me: I am a professional Clown. That’s right. If you hear anyone call me “Pistol” that is my clown’s name. I have been blessed to be taught clowning by the best. Ringling Brothers Hall of Famers, CoCo the Clown, Leon “Buttons” Mcbride, Earl “Mr. Clown” Chaney, Ronald McDonald and many Others. I was blessed to be Chaplin of the Southeastern Clown Association in 2005. I Love to see people laugh!
Also, I am a professional Santa Claus. November and December are filled with Christmas Photos and parades, etc…
If you were to ask me my biggest influences in the gospel music world, it would have to be Danny Funderburk, Mark Lowery and Mark Lanier. I love Tenor. No offense Dale, but I really love the Baritone part. Plus, you can have throat problems singing baritone and no one ever knows it.
I guess this verse has stuck with me over the years.
John 16:33- “These things have spoken to you, so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”
Thanks, and Be Blessed!
